CONSTIPATION - VEGETABLES AND FRUITS, BEST NATURAL RELIEF AND CURES

Constipation, costiveness, or irregularity, is a condition of the digestive system in which a person (or animal) experiences hard feces that are difficult to expel. This usually happens because the colon absorbs too much water from the food. In common constipation, the stool is hard, difficult, and painful to pass. Usually, there is an infrequent urge to void.

Fortunately, most cases of constipation are temporary. Simple lifestyle changes, such as getting more exercise and eating a high-fiber diet, can go a long way toward alleviating constipation. Constipation may also be treated with over-the-counter laxatives.

If you experience two of the following signs or symptoms, you may have conspitation:

  • Pass fewer than three stools a week
  • Experience hard stools
  • Strain excessively during bowel movements
  • Experience a sense of rectal blockage
  • Have a feeling of incomplete evacuation after having a bowel movement
  • Need to use manual maneuvers to have a bowel movement, such as finger evacuation or manipulation of your lower abdomen

You don’t need to see the doctor right away. Although constipation may be bothersome, it’s usually not serious. Let’s try these following steps first:

  • Eat a high-fiber diet. Choose lots of high-fiber foods, including fruits, vegetables, beans and whole-grain cereals and breads. Everyone knows that consuming a diet rich in fruit and vegetables is very beneficial to our overall health. As we all know by now, fruit and vegetables are rich in fiber and fiber is linked to the prevention of many diseases. Some of the illnesses which fiber aids in prevention of include: diverticular disease, colon cancer, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, and obesity. Fruit and vegetables are extremely rich in various vitamins and minerals. Because they are so rich in nutrients they are valuable to practically every single organ in our bodies and it’ll help greatly to cure and prevent conspitation.
  • Foods that are high in fat and sugar and those that tend to be low in fiber content, such as ice cream, cheese and processed food, may cause or aggravate constipation. You should avoid such things
  • Drink plenty of liquids, like water.
  • Engage in regular physical exercise, such as walking, biking or swimming, to help stimulate intestinal function.
  • Don’t ignore the urge to have a bowel movement.
  • Over-the-counter products such as Metamucil and Citrucel can help keep stools soft and regular.
  • Be careful about introducing stimulant laxatives. Habitual use of agents such as Correctol and Dulcolax can make your colon dependent on them and may require increasing dosages until your intestine ceases to function properly.

However, you should seek medical care if you experience any of the following signs or symptoms, which might indicate a more serious health problem:

  • Bowel movements occurring more than three days apart, despite corrective changes in diet or exercise
  • Intense abdominal pain
  • Blood in your stool
  • Constipation that alternates with diarrhea
  • Rectal pain
  • Thin, pencil-like stools
  • Unexplained weight loss
