I wanted to take the time to share with you information about diabetes and the need for you to greatly control this problem. It is estimated that almost 24 million Americans have this problem. Basically, the whole problem comes down to the bodies ability to properly produce and/or respond to insulin stimulation. Basically your body produces insulin and it’s really an energy sort of hormone. If you eat something that contains sugar your insulin should rise. When you have diabetes, you don’t have your body necessarily reacting to that. Typically this can happen from genetics or from just taking in too much refined sugar that your body just can’t properly react to it anymore. This is why it is necessary for sufferers to check their blood to make sure that their insulin is high enough or they’ll collapse.

Information about diabetes is one thing, but many people don’t understand the complications that come down the road when you don’t properly control it. Eating properly and keeping everything in line is important. Anytime you mess up with this, you’re actually taking years of your life when you’re older. This is why it is so important to control your diabetes.
